Regional Consultations June 2021- Register now

The OSE-CSSR team is committed to continue engaging with a wide range of CSSR interlocutors through the regional consultations as in previous years. Our next regional consultations will be held from 21 to 29 June. Due to the COVID-19 travel restrictions, this round of regional consultation will be held virtually. The Regional Consultations would be held all at once in parallel for all regional locations over the span of 10 days, with conference-like sessions with all participants joining at the beginning and end of the week.

Regional consultations represent an opportunity for intra-Syrian dialogue and for OSE-Syria to hear their concerns and recommendations on the political process.  The Special Envoy (to be confirmed), Deputy Special Envoy and his team will engage with CSSR interlocutors in these regional consultations in order to discuss and hear the concerns and recommendations of a broad and diverse range of Syrian civil society interlocutors on substantive issues related to UNSC 2254 (2015) as well as the situation on the ground both in Syria and in host countries. After a plenary meeting with the SE/DSE, participants would split into several, dedicated subgroups along thematic and/or geographic issues.

Kindly be informed that registration is not a guarantee of participation. If confirmed, you will receive an email with the details for participation. Confirmations would be on the basis of: 1) coordination with key networks and alliances for the participation of their representatives; 2) geographic proportionality; 3) gender balance; 4) balance of thematic expertise; 5) first-come-first-served basis; and 6) technical capacity of the platform to host large numbers of participants.

Deadline for registration is 8 June 2021. The registration link was taken down after registration closed.
