OSE-Syria met with Syrian civil society actors in Beirut

Beirut, 13-16 June 2022

After two-years of travel restrictions due to COVID-19, the UN Office of the Special Envoy for Syria (OSE-Syria) resumed its regional outreach missions with Syrian civil society in Beirut this week. Similar outreach missions are foreseen in Gaziantep, Amman and Erbil in the coming months. The OSE-Syria is committed to regularly engage with diverse Syrian civil society actors on key topics, including political developments, the socio-economic situation, humanitarian and protection issues, women rights, local governance and social cohesion initiatives, with the view to promote a comprehensive political solution, in line with security council resolution 2254 (2015).
